Conceptual Urban Design of Shanghai Qingpu New City

Qingpu New City locates in Qingpu District in the west area of Shanghai. It is a multi-core point in the spatial arrangement structure of the city, and it is one of the nine New Cities in the Shanghai 1966 town planning system. According to the planning, the area of the design includes the Central Park and the bank area of Dianpu River, and it applies creative ideas to combine trees, water, regional culture with architecture and space. This project integrated the modern park and the traditional garden of south China. This design shows the park and garden notion and has the modern style with ancient elements, in this way to present a new character of south China.
